Route 1: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
Located 10 km (6 miles) away from downtown, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, established in 1987, is one of the world’s most renowned wildlife conservation centers, dedicated to protecting and studying giant pandas. Covering an area of 3.07 square kilometers, the base contributes to global biodiversity efforts, housing over 200 pandas and successfully reintroducing several into the wild. Its blend of scientific research, conservation, and visitor engagement makes it a model for wildlife tourism.

Route 2: Sanxingdui Museum
Sanxingdui Museum (Three-Star Piles Museum) is located in Northeast of Three-Star Piles archeological site, west of the famous cultural city of Guanghan, on the bank of Jian River (commonly called Yazi River), 40 kilometers (about 24.9 miles) north of Chengdu City. Covering an exhibition area of 4,000 square meters (nearly 1 acre), it was built in August 1992 and opened to the public in October 1997. It is a national AAAA - level tourist attraction and also the largest standalone archaeological museum in southwest China.
The museum houses more than 1,500 artifacts unearthed from the Sanxingdui Ruins. These relics are mainly from the late Neolithic Age, with a history of more than 4,500 years. The most famous ones include the Bronze Sacred Tree, which is 3.95 meters high and consists of a plinth, a tree and a dragon, with 27 fruits and nine birds on it, reflecting the sun worship of the ancient Shu people.

Morning: Dujiangyan Project
Situated on the Minjiang River in the western part of the Chengdu Plain. Dujiangyan project was constructed in 256 BC to provide irrigation water and to control the Minjiang River. At that time, floods frequently plagued Sichuan, causing great suffering to the local people. Li Bing, the governor of Shu Prefecture, and his son took on the heavy responsibility of harnessing the floods and, based on the work of previous generations, organized the construction of this large - scale water conservancy project.

Afternoon: Qingcheng Moutain
Mount Qingcheng is located in the southwest of Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province, about 65 kilometers west of Chengdu. It is one of the birthplaces of Taoism and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. The mountain, which is surrounded by numerous peaks and is shaped like a city, is dubbed 'the most peaceful and secluded mountain under heaven' and combines perfectly with its evergreen scenery. The Front Mountain, covering an area of about 15 square kilometers, is famous for its ancient architecture and cultural relics. The Rear Mountain covers an area of 100 square kilometers and is known for its natural scenery. There are mysterious caves, clear pools, and beautiful waterfalls, creating a tranquil and primitive natural world.
